Family Fun for Fall in Houston!

Posted on Sep 29, 2017

It’s fall! As the temperatures finally start to even out, it’s the perfect time for families to get together and enjoy all the seasonal activities the Houston area has to offer. Check out some of Monkey Joe’s favorite ways to celebrate this season. With a little extra legwork, you can trick-or-treat almost every day between now and Halloween!

  1. ZooBoo - The Houston Zoo has a pumpkin patch, Howlerween Adventure, Creature Maze, candy, dance parties, and more. Admission is included when you purchase Zoo tickets, and is free for Zoo members. This event runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning October 13th.
  2. Trick or Treat Trail - Woodlands Township offers trick-or-treating, strolling entertainment, costume contests, and more for kids of all ages on October 29th.
  3. Target Halloween Monster Mayhem - The Children’s Museum of Houston’s Target Halloween Monster Mayhem starts October 10th. Not only will there be trick-or-treating, but also Halloween-themed experiments and learning experiences, plus a dance party for kids on October 31st and many other special events throughout the month.

Don’t forget about the most important parts of the season: pumpkins and costumes! Take the family to a pumpkin patch to pick your very own pumpkin for a jack o’ lantern. Then spend some time picking out the best Halloween costumes. Make sure to go early in the month so you beat the crowd.

Here at Monkey Monkey Joe’s Copperfield Crossing, fall is one of our favorite times of year. If your outdoor activities get rained out, come visit us for some fun in the Jungle! And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook to keep track of our upcoming events!
